I slept in this morning, after a late night of going from bar to bar. I needed the perfect Martini but none to be found in this small town. Earlier in the day we had discovered a new bakery that served wonderful ice cream and pastries. The new owners are direct from Germany with a family history of bakers. Now we have a German bakery to go with our Old French bakery. I am now just waiting for a good Martini or mix drink bar. Being Saturday, I went to the market to pick up my new favorite beautiful deep purple fruit Pitahaya. I was too late; they were all sold out so instead I got some Mammy fruit, which is shaped like a large Ostrich egg. This fruit has a hard rough brown skin and inside a sweet soft pale brown flesh. I will eat some and add the rest to my many creative fruit drinks. Went up to Cristo Rey for a fund raising BBQ at my neighbors. We stayed a short time and then back to Santa Elena to take up items off the porch as we have a threat of a tropical storm from the hurricane Emily. None of us think it will come this far but the cayes around us have been evacuated and the residents/ tourists are here in our town. I think I will have a quite evening, reading other folks blogs and maybe challenge Marlene to a came or two of Chinese checkers. Love, Joy, Peace and Happiness are wished for you. Blessings
