MAGHONY SEEDLINGS

by | Uncategorized

I woke up to a cloudy morning, stayed in bed until five am. Made a cup of natural Belizean coffee sipped it as I collected my garden tools and put them into the truck. Fed the dogs as my neighbor’s son Emil came down their stairwell. We then went to the other neighbor and collected the maghony seedlings that they had brought from their farm for me. These seedlings are between three and four feet high. It is now six am and Emil and I are off to the land. We arrived as a group of parrots was passing bye. Parrots in the wild, has so much more vivid and brilliant reds, emerald greens, blues and yellows than ones in a cage. A few people in the area has a talking parrot, usually because they had cut down the tree that the babies were living in and the children of the home adopted them as pets. Emil and I planted maghony seedlings until ten am. We did a bit more work on the land and then decided it was getting too hot to do much more. Came home at noon to drink jelly water coconut and lie in the hammock while Emil and his friend’s head for the river. I am fully blessed. Blessings to all.
