Belize Upside Down

by | Uncategorized

The people of Belize are on a massive strike action. They want their Prime Minister to resign. Because of this, communication methods are on and off. Last week we were without telephone or Internet for a week. Water and light goes on and off at will, bank machines do not work and the bank is only open for half a day. Starting Monday 28th April the people and unions have called for a complete shut down, we do not know how long it will last. My journal writing will be eractic for a little while .I am completely at home in this country and not worried about my safety. I will spend the days in my hammock with a juicy book and eating blackie or thin skin mangoes. My nights will be filled with drinking jelly coconuts under a star lit sky. Who needs electricity?
