River of Life

This is a section of Medicine bundles for the ancestors. This piece is paying respect and honouring the female African Ancestors. The images are of famous black women who have done much for my people. It is hung over a red wall because in my culture red is for the Ancestors. At the bottom is hung small handmade medicine bags. Each bag has medicine that was divined or dreamt for the Ancestor on the panel. This is a very small section of the installation .
